Sooner or later, all plumbing in your home must be repaired or completely replaced. There are two main types of plumbing repairs: emergency and scheduled. In case of an accident, the master finds the place of the breakdown and carries out partial repairs or replacement of some parts. The planned renovation is usually carried out in a complex of complete apartment repairs.
Of course, it is possible to install plumbing yourself, but it is better to entrust this matter to professionals. When choosing plumbing fixtures, try to combine them to create a single composition.
1. Bathroom. The main types of baths are:
• Cast iron. The main selection criterion is the quality of the enamel. It is better not to buy cast-iron bathtubs of domestic production and Turkey. The following manufacturers use high-quality enamel: Roca (Spain), Herbau (France), Recor (Portugal).
• Acrylic bathtubs. The main material is acrylic, the coating is layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin. The more reinforcing layers there are, the better the quality of the bath. When buying, tap lightly on the bathroom, and the one with the most muffled sound has more reinforcing layers. The acrylic thickness of a high-quality bathtub should be at least 5 cm. These baths are very good, have excellent thermal insulation, are resistant to abrasion, and can be easily restored.
• Steel baths. The thicker the tub, the higher its quality will be, and hence the price. The ideal thickness of steel for the production of baths is 3.5 mm.
2. The washbasin. It is fixed so that two people can freely stand in front of it. There are three ways to fix the washbasin:
• The sink is a console.
The mounting is done using a bracket. This is the most common type of attachment.
• The sink is mounted on a "leg" that secures communications. It is ideal for fixing the sink in a small bathroom.
• The sink is built into a special chest of drawers.
3. The toilet. They are made of steel, porcelain, polymers and some others. When choosing a toilet, pay attention to the principle of draining (straight or circular). Give preference to models with circular flushing, which is more hygienic and convenient. Toilet bowls are fixed in three ways:
• Fixing with screws on the cement floor.
• A recess is made in the floor where a wooden board is mounted. The toilet is attached to it.
• Fixing with epoxy glue.
